What an incredible ho'ike! All 530+ PCHES students from PreK to 6th danced hula with their grades for an absolute packed house last week. Families enjoyed the gorgeous weather and wonderful student performances, which also included the chanting of the school oli, and the singing of Hawai'i Aloha with the accompaniment of 6th graders on ukulele. Great job to every student, a huge mahalo to all the teachers and special guests who cheered our students on, and a big shout-out to the PCHES Productions student media club (and advisor Lauren Kim) for the awesome job filming the event! All the students had a blast at this year's annual in-school carnival for every grade level, sponsored entirely by the 6th grade class. Not only did the 6th graders provide all the prizes, they also made all the fun carnival games from scratch! Check out some of the creative game booths they made >>

Hi PCHES Families! Our 18th Annual Fun Run is on May 28th from 8am-12pm. We're looking for volunteers to help on the day of! Each week, Highlands Intermediate student council and leadership "big buddies" walk over to PCHES to promote literacy and bond with their "little buddies" in the 2nd grade through activities, conversation, and fun, creating lasting memories for our students. These 8th graders have been such great role models all year. Thank you to all the reading buddies who came over this year, and everyone who continues to make this wonderful yearly program possible. Our amazing school community came together and raised an incredible $30,000 for the Fun Run. Because you popped the goal, every student has earned a well-deserved Grade Level Picnic Day! Date: Monday, May 11 🧺 Reminder: Please pack a blanket or towel in your student's backpack that day. In their grade levels, they will all take their school/home lunch outdoors to have a fun, ginormous picnic. We are so proud of everyone’s hard work! Let’s not stop the momentum now, we’re really close to popping our next goal -- less than $2000 left to earn our whole school movie day incentive!
