Dear Families,
With heavy rain in the forecast, we are sharing our Staggered Release Plan in anticipation of potential flooding on Ho’omae’mae Street. If the back parking lot must be closed due to flooding, we will implement a modified dismissal. The staggered release plan will help us to ensure a safe, effective, and efficient afternoon pickup.
Scope of the Plan
Autoline Students: This plan affects only students picked up via the Autoline.
Walkers & After-School Activities: Students walking home or attending A+ or After School Hula will be dismissed from class at their regular times (2:05 PM).
Decision Timeline
Administration will monitor conditions daily and announce a final decision by the following times:
Thursday (3/12) & Friday (3/13): By 12:00 PM
Staggered Pickup Schedule (Front Lot Only)
If this plan is activated, the back circle will be closed. All Autoline pickups will occur in the front parking lot. To streamline the process, younger siblings will join their older siblings for dismissal. All students in a family will be dismissed at the OLDEST sibling’s scheduled time:
Grades 5 & 6: 1:00 PM
Grades 3 & 4: 1:20 PM
Grades 1 & 2: 1:40 PM
Kindergarten: 2:05 PM
Please prepare for this spate of bad weather by sending your children with a hooded jacket. We want to make sure all our students stay warm and healthy! We will modify school activities to ensure this, but if your child arrives soaked, we will give you a quick call and ask you to bring a change of dry clothes. To save you a trip, feel free to keep a spare set of clothes in their backpack just in case!
