On August the 31st, 6th grade students, parents, and teachers gathered for a movie night to watch Peter Rabbit. Before we started the movie, we did some activities like balancing a ball on a spoon. After the activities they started the movie. If they ordered a bento they could pick it up and enjoy it on the lawn. There were also some other things you could by like spam musubi and drinks.
My favorite thing about the movie night was the food. - Kayla
We welcome Mrs. Kagamida, Mrs. Morioka, Principal Sheets, Kupuna Kapeka, Mrs. Teixeira, and Mrs. Lee to our PCHES Ohana!
Our very own PCHES 2nd grader, Ka'eo Acopan won the 2018 Summer Reading Program Grand Prize Drawing from the Hawaii State Library System. He received four Alaska Airlines roundtrip tickets to anywhere Alaska Airlines flies. Your commitment to reading really paid off Ka'eo!
Thank you Pearl City High School and former PCHES student, Gavin Verzon, for choosing our school to do his Eagle Scout Project. Much mahalo also goes out to his troop, Troop 75, for helping to paint our sidewalks, parking lot, and hopscotch areas.
On April 27th, 2018 the PCHES Track Team went to Pearl City High School for track meet.
On Friday, October 20th, PCHES held a family night called Stem Family Night. During stem night, you got to play and see a lot of cool things. For example, the Pearl City High School Robotics Team and their robot, soda explosions, and a lot more. You could also enjoy a bento.
The end of the year celebration was a blast even though it was rainy. The best part was playing the carnival games. No one could dunk Mr. N in our group.
Field Day was fun. Preschool did a windmill run. Kindergarten did three legged race. First did a leaking water cup race. Second did a ball toss. Third balanced an eraser on a stick. Forth had to suck up pennies with a straw. Fifth did jumping jacks and had to do jump rope. Sixth had to spin around on a bat, hop like a rabbit, and then do a crab walk back. The teacher had a balloon toss at the end. The blue team won the most points. I can't wait for next year's Field Day.
The winners of the intramural basketball competition got to challenge the teachers. Who won??? The students!!! Yay, go PEACHES!
