On February 23rd, Fourth Grade went on a field trip to He'eia Fishpond. When we first got there we had to carry coral from one side to the other for 10 minutes. Then we learned some important history about the fishpond. One thing that we learned about is that before, when there was a storm, it destroyed most of the fishpond. Another important thing about history is that it is about 800 years old. After that we took off bark from tree trunks. When we were done with that, we took wood and put it in a fire to burn. Lastly, we took coral form one side to the other side again. This is how we gave back to He'eia fishpond. We all hope we can go back to this place again.
